- Focuses on the basics of business organizations including corporations, part-nerships, limited liability corporations, professional corporations; contracts, including formation, legality, enforcement, breach, and remedies; the Uniform Commercial Code with a special emphasis on Sales and Negotiable Instru-ments and their application to the accounting and banking professions; also facilities liability, surveys estates, creditors rights, bankruptcy, and torts and criminal law as they relate to the business environment.
- Serves as a practical guide to individual money planning Subjects covered in-clude budgeting, investing, planning for taxes, insurance, consumer decisions, and retirement planning.

An overview course which introduces the student to the functions of manage-ment, marketing, accounting, fi nance, and economics. Business principles, concepts, theories, and terms, together with ethics and values, are examined both academically and experientially.
