This course provides an introduction to grant research and writing for students who have little or no prior experience in developing grant proposals. Through an effective partnership with a nonprofit organization and hands-on experience, students will write a complete grant proposal by the end of the course. Students will demonstrate an increased understanding of proposal writing through the development of a 12-15 page grant proposal and appropriate appendices in partnership with a local nonprofit organization.
