Students develop writing, communication, and critical thinking skills through focused exploration of a topic selected by the instructor. Students become familiar with resources and strategies that promote academic success and cultivate a sense of community and connection to the Aquinas College mission.

Students will do the above through the knowledge and study of the most common error in reasoning, or logical fallacies. The textbook will be complemented by examples from a variety of sources: newspaper articles, videos, memes, and so forth. The final goal is to acquire basic skills in critical thinking that will aid the students throughout their academic, work, and personal lives.
